Read articleInfor reduces data costs and troubleshooting time with automated log levels
Whenever an outage or incident happens, we typically see a spike in errors or warnings. Effective troubleshooting meant having to parse to that log level by creating field exception rules (FERs) or parse operators. It's a process that is inefficient and delays getting to the root cause.
We recently released capabilities that automatically surfaces log level information, and are currently being utilized by our customer Infor. Infor is seeing not only reduced time in their troubleshooting by getting to the root cause faster, but also significant savings on data ingestion costs, since log levels lets them leverage the data that matters to their alerting and troubleshooting process.
In this session Iwan Eising, SRA Team Lead from Infor, Tarun Kumar, principal engineer and Mike Baldani, product marketing manager, at Sumo Logic will discuss:
- The challenges of managing log data across decentralized development teams.
- How Iwan’s SRA team is using automated log levels to manage log data and save on data ingest costs.
- How automatically surfacing log levels is resulting in a more efficient troubleshooting process.
- A quick look at how automated log levels work in Sumo Logic.
